(updated for song title)
We have this new radio station in Madison called Charlie. They took the place of a station that I actually kind of liked so I didn't give them much of a chance but then of course the big corporate jackasses took my favorite rock station and turned it country so I had to look elsewhere. Charlie claims to play ANYTHING and now I believe them. They played Shelly West's Jose Cuervo this morning. If you haven't heard this little number (and I don't think I'd heard it since some time in the early '80s), it's a catchy tune "Jose Cuervo, you are a friend of mine. I like to drink you with a little salt and lime".
Now, back in the '80s I could drink some tequila but in 1985 there was an incident with a group of shrimpers (back in another life for me) playing trivial pursuit for shots of frozen Cuervo gold... I don't remember much but I do remember I woke up on the front yard sleeping next to 2 german shepherds...
I don't drink tequila any more.
So, with that, I will leave you with beer.

Ha-ha, great drinking story, Your song today should have been "It's another Tequilla Sunrise".
Yeah, ok, no one was playing but I'll go update the title
Ok, new title. KK, you don't get to guess!
I liked the beer song, never heard that one before. T
The twisted tune guys on KZOK out here, Bob Rivers and Spike O'neal put out an new song called "Dick Cheney's got a gun" sung to the Aerosmith tune "Jamie's got a gun" It's pretty good.

I heard that song on the Bob and Tom show yesterday. I don't think they attributed it to Bob Rivers though. Of course, could be different, it was a pretty obvious way to go.
I never had a chance.
What???
You need to learn that no one can actually hear your internal conversations so when you answer the voices in your head they don't make any sense!
...early 80's...you're never gonna break into my demographic with your old-timer ramblings! I was watching Thundercats and Trollkins when every song you've referenced was released ;)
At least they were your dogs, right?
I'll toss ya a Black Eyed Peas tune shortly, Soup. You and Gerks can fight over it.
and no, they were not my dogs. I was at some one else's house.
no one besides KK knows who sang Tequila Sunrise?
Come on people, it's a pretty big band... many of it's former members have had solo careers...
the champs??? WTF?
think Desparado...
That's a n1ce look for you, grizz.
