Light Up The Sky

I'm thinking of starting all my posts with a song title that vaguely resembles my topic. See if you can guess the artist each day.

Ok, so speaking of lights, we bought new light fixtures for the kitchen, hallway and foyer. Got the main kitchen one done quickly. For those of you that don't have one yet, pick up one of those headset led lights. They're great for providing hands free light when you have the power off.

Anyway, the light we bought for over the sink is a pendant light. I had never hung one of those before so it was a little different. I kept screwing up the routing of the wires through everything and I was trying to rush so Cdubya could make dinner and that kept making it worse. 3 times I had to undo everything and re-route the wires again because I was being stupid.

Finally, I figured it out and got it all hooked up. I went downstairs and turned the breaker back on and I hear Cdubya go "Uh oh, it doesn't work." I'm like "sonofa! #$@#!$^1##!$!@#$@#" and as I'm walking up the stairs I see her standing by the WRONG light switch. I ask her if she bothered to try the RIGHT light switch. Of course, she realizes right away what she did wrong and tried the right one and it worked. I called it a night after that. The foyer light is the same pendant light so I should get that done quickly. The hallway light is a standard flush mount, again, really easy. Tonight I have a hair cut and then bowling so it'll have to wait till tomorrow.

We watched King of Queens from Monday on Tivo then 2 Scrubs and Boston Legal. Scrubs was pretty funny with Zach Braff's real life girlfriend Mandy Moore playing his gf on the show, only she was a total clutz. Of course, he found one other thing wrong with her that he couldn't deal with (she never laughed, just said "that's SOOO funny") so they broke up.

Boston Legal was pretty good, not great. Not enough Denny Crane, though his short appearances were quite funny.
