Badger running back Booker Stanley was kicked off the team yesterday. This guy is trouble, I'm glad he's gone and I hope after he gets out of jail he won't stick around. I feel bad for the people in Whitefish Bay if he decides to come home (and I know a couple people that live there). He's got a history of beating the crap out of people, mostly women. It shows good judgment by new coach Bielema that he's not going to mess around.
Ok, is it just me or is the media making this Joey Porter/Jerramy Stevens thing into way more than it is? It's almost like they were begging for someone to say something just so they could report something other than "Matt Hassselback is bald" or "Mike Holmgren looks a lot like Craig Stadler".
Badger hockey boys take a little drive up to Duluth this weekend to try to get back on the winning track. Since Brian Ellott went down with a new injury they have lost 4 straight and are now in a 3 way tie for first place in the WCHA with Minnesota and Denver. Replacement goalie, freshman Shane Connelly, has lost all 4 games and has a save percentage of 86% with a GAA of 3.25.
Ok, here starts the tv recap...
First, did anyone see Four Kings last night? Seth Green telling that "gay story" about camp had me rolling on the floor. "Blooop"... hahahaha... priceless. If you didn't see it... well, there's no way I can tell it like he did.
Now, on to Survivor. This season they added 2 more twists.
First, the teams. Instead of having 2 mixed teams they went with 4 teams of 4 players each:
- Older Men
- Older Women
- Younger Men
- Younger Women
Second, Exile Island. During the competition it appears that the losing team in the reward challenges has to pick someone to spend the next day or 2 on Exile Island alone with no shelter or food and only a machete and water bucket to help.
But, there's another twist. Somewhere on Exile Island there is an immunity idol hidden. Similar to last Survivor, except this time you can hold on to until after the votes are read, which means you can totally screw up the voting! You get voted out but noooo, you have the idol and show it. The person with the 2nd most votes is gone! Wow... that's cool.
Now, on to the show. They stared with a reward challenge for fire right off the bat and the last place team did not get any fire and had to leave one person behind on Exile Island. The Younger Women lost and left Misty behind to fend for herself until Immunity challenge time. She came back and kind of tried to bluff that she found the idol but no one bought it.
The immunity challenge consisted of swimming, rafting and solving a brain teaser. I found myself quickly cheering for the Older Men (yay, old guys) and the Younger Women. Ok, so I like the scenery, gimme a break! The funniest thing for me is seeing the Younger Men just totally befuddled by everything, acting retarded and struggling to beat the old ladies, which they just barely did to escape tribal council.
The Older Women proved to be dumber than I thought they could be as they decided that LumberJill Tina (out of Hayward, WI) would be too much of a threat to them. Uh, hello? Is anyone home? You're at least 3 weeks from being in position of doing individual challenges and none of you is going to be around now that you got rid of your one strong person. Talk about your bonehead plans. Personally, I get rid of Cirie. She's never been outside before and is afraid of leaves! Leaves! What would make a person like that sign up for Survivor? Have they never seen the show before?
In other TV news... They showed ads for Amazing Race last night, looks awesome! New season starts Feb 28th. Also, I heard that the 6th season of The Soprano's starts March 12th. I think this may be the final season. I don't even remember what was going on, it's been so long since season 5.Have a great weekend.
Update: Andy Samberg from SNL was on Letterman and they talked about a short film he was making in LA that was interupted by Keifer Sutherland doing his Jack Bauer character. It's pretty funny. Click here to view the interview.

Excellent Survivor - great TV last night!! My Name is Earl - best line on TV this year.
"Sometimes sweetie, your date will end up doing a blackman in the bathroom"
LOL!!
That's terrible!
I have been following a site now for almost 2 years and I have found it to be both reliable and profitable. They post daily and their stock trades have been beating
the indexes easily.
Take a look at Wallstreetwinnersonline.com
