Balance

I'm struggling... trying to find the balance between feeling the need to post something versus not feeling like saying anything... I guess sometimes you just don't feel like it.

Anyway, golf league Wednesday, nothing special, shot 47 with a quadruple bogey and two triples. Seems like I can't get myself out of these blow up holes. Yesterday we went and played 18 and I had the same type of problems. I was 5 over after 7 (not great but doing ok) when I blew up for a 9 on a par 5 and followed it up with a 7 on the next hole. Great, looking at 42ish and finishing the nine with a 48. I couldn't get into it on the back and once again blew up a couple times, including an 8 to finish on a short par 4 and end with a 50.

No hockey this week, high school camps needed the ice.

I need to get out and mow the lawn asap, it's 6:45 am and already 75 and quite humid. Going to be 95 today and 97 tomorrow. Probably end up going to see "You, Me and Dupree", looks pretty funny.

Oh, I forgot, the one funny thing. During golf yesterday, one hole had a road running down the right side. Mike, a notorious slicer, cranks his tee shot right and it's going right towards the road. All of a sudden a Suburban pulls up to the stop sign at a side street, damn near where his towering shot is headed. I yell "CAR!", not sure why, I should have yelled "FORE!" to the car. Luckily the dude turned right and drove off just as Mike's ball lands in the road and bounces across the street and into someone's yard. I laugh pretty hard. We go over and I can see his ball on the sidewalk so he runs over and gets it. He then takes a drop by the fire hydrant. Now the road really isn't in play for this shot but I see a car again and say jokingly that he better wait till it's gone, haha. He does, luckily, because he cranked this shot way out into the road again and it takes a huge bounce into a tree in someone's front yard. At this point I can't control my laughter any more, I'm just dying.... but then I notice another fire hydrant up ahead and tell him "hey, there's another fire hydrant for you up there." It was all pretty funny.

Anyway, I better get out working before the heat hits. Thank you dogs for waking me up at 5:45... yes, it's Saturday, no that's ok, you don't understand weekends...

One of the good parts of renting and apartment: no mowing the lawn when it's God-awful hot. Of course then there's then not having a fenced in backyard... So I guess it evens out.

Yeah, I love being able to be out with the dogs and not worry about them scaring the beejesus out of some old lady out for a walk.
I finished mowing by 9:30 and was completely drenched. Spent the rest of the day doing nothing...

I've been in that yard!!

Mowing? I have not mow for 3 weeks - nothing is growing - you are not watering are you? IF so - you deserve to mow!

Nope, the rain we had Tuesday was enough to make the backyard grow another 4".
Plus I have a lot of shade in the afternoon in the backyard, it loves that. And plenty of dog-based fertilizer if you know what I mean.
