Well, I finally got around to mowing Friday after a couple weeks of on and off rain had caused me to delay it. In hindsight, I should have found the time when I could. It was horrible, taking me almost 5 hours to mow and rake. I’ll probably mow again tonight to stay on top of it. If my back yard was rough at a golf course, you would have lost every ball in your bag in it.
I got up early Saturday morning and played 9 holes since I hadn’t played in a week. Didn’t do too badly, shooting a 44. Had 3 double bogies in a row in the middle that hurt me.
I was able to hang all my Guinness pictures, signs, etc along with the dartboard and got the tv and entertainment center all hooked up as well. Looks pretty good. I’ll take some more pictures soon. Still waiting on Home Depot for the carpet for the rest of downstairs.
Amazing Race started last night. I laughed pretty hard at the start. They started out in Seattle this time and sure enough, cold, rainy and most of them got lost trying to find the airport. Many tried taking I5 and got stuck in a traffic jam due to a jackknifed semi. That’s totally Seattle traffic, again I laughed.
As for the race, Phil added a new twist this time, doing a middle of the leg elimination as a surprise. I was kind of let down. They were going to the Forbidden City in China and I was hoping the surprise would be ninja’s jumping out and the last team having to fight them to the death. It was pretty anticlimactic to just have an elimination when I was yelling "Ninja’s! Ninja’s!"
