Yesterday's song was Pilate from Pearl Jam. No one guessed, must have been too obscure a song. So, we'll make it easier today. I'll give you another hint. Almost half my iPod is filled with Seattle bands.
Two shows to talk about today, Deal or No Deal and Amazing Race.
First was Deal or No Deal. Up first was a black woman minister who brought not only her family with her but also her entire choir. She got down to 4 cases left with 2 small amounts and 2 big amounts ($500k and $750k). She decided to bypass almost $200k to go for it. Unfortunately the next case she opened was a big one which knocked her offer back to $80,000. Her family wanted her to keep going so she did and opened the other big case to the dismay of everyone, including Howie Mandel. She was left with $1 and $5. The banker made an offer of $2, it got pretty sad. She turned it down and opened her case to find the $5. Oh well... Lowest total I've seen anyone walk away with. Pretty foolish but gutsy. I love how people that realize they aren't going to win any money try to justify it by saying something like "money doesn't make me happy, these people make me happy." As far as I'm concerned that is utter bullshit.
Then came the 2 hour premier of Amazing Race. Already this season beats the previous incarnation of the family one. Tons of action, interesting people, interesting locations. There are a couple teams that jump out as fun to watch.
The 2 hippy dudes from San Fran that look like Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper.
Team Pink with the spaghetti strap tank tops barely constraining their uh, you know... Honestly, I doubt I could tell you what they look like.
Team Geek was also really fun. A couple obviously geeky and proud of it, quite funny.
Too many funny parts to remember them all. Black guy getting introduced to white guy Lake, when he hears his name asks "like the ocean?" I just about crapped myself laughing. Black guy's girlfriend bent over a motorcycle on the streets of Brazil trying to work on it while a dozen guys whistle and holler innapropriate things at her. Boyfriend does... nothing. Unreal.
In the end, Will and Jack, I mean Scott and John, the non-dating gay friends from Boston, were the last to arrive and were eliminated.

You'd be correct, although the version of the song I was listening to was from Marty Casey, lead singer of the Love Hammers, performed on Rockstar:INXS on CBS this past summer.
Great amazing race last night - as for slang.
While playing on Crypto which is a European Poker Room I said "RATS" and had to explain.
slang for foreigners updated with Rats.
You're such a loser... go listen to more Vanilla Ice.
I realize you were only like in the 3rd grade in the early 90's but there were a lot of bands out of Seattle at that time. I'll list a couple you might have heard of:
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Alice In Chains
Soundgarden
Mother Love Bone
Queensryche
Presidents of the United States of America
OH, and Sir Mix-A-Lot was also from Seattle (Baby Got Back)
Seattle was the birthplace of grunge, I assumed everyone knew that and the bands associated with it.
It wasn't only the birth place of grunge, it was the place to be to get discovered. No Doubt came to Seattle to get discovered. Other types of music that came out of Seattle back then also. Ever heard of Robert Cray, and Kenny G.
Checkout an April 1992 Rolling Stone Magazine. It called Seattle the new Liverpool.
