Evil Tetnus shot

So, during my physical Monday they said I needed another tetnus shot as it had been 10 years. This time it was recommended by the CDC that everyone get a whooping cough vaccine too. 18 hours later I had a 101 degree temp. Lasted about 10 hours before it broke. Man, that sucked.

While I was home shivering yesterday I watched Major League. It finally dawned on me where I knew Dennis Haysbert from. He was Pedro Serrano in that movie! Weird to think he because the greatest president ever in 24.

I'll do the tetnus in fact I think I'm due too. But I say away from those flu shots, whooping cough etc. Everyone I know that has one gets real sick for a day or two and it's supposed to be a dead virus? So I didn't get any shots this year and don't plan on until I'm in my 80's, of course as I wrte this I have the sniffles.

The alternative is not good. An adult who gets whooping cough will end up intubated in the ICU. I think 1 day of fever is better than that. I talked to the nurse about it and she hadn't heard of anyone having that reaction before and would notify the doc.
By the way, I went back in this morning, before work and coffee to get my lab work done and my BP was 118/64. Go figure.

Better one ay of a fever than a possible stress fracture in the ol' foot. Stupid, weak foot.
