Big 44

Happy B-day Balderdash.

We're golfing today as part of his b-day celebration, then a party at his house. Not sure if I can make that but I'm definitely golfing.

Played my first summer league hockey game last night. We lost 8-4 but if the goalies had been reversed so would have been the score. Our goalie was perhaps the worst goalie I've ever seen. I think they had about a dozen shots and scored 8 goals?!?!?! I knew in warmups we were in trouble as just about every shot went in.

I played left wing, which is always a little awkward for me as a righty but I've been over there a number of times and am starting to get used to it. I ended up only having 2 shots, one a forehand coming down the slot that I didn't really get a hold of and the second a great backhander on a rebound that happened to hit the goalie in the face. Oh well. I did set up 2 goals, one off a face off I fed my buddy Bill at the point and he really blasted one. The 2nd off a 2 on 1 where I brought it up the left side and fed it across for the goal.
